'Plant Eden: Grace' is a limited edition for the campaign for Earth One.
How do we transition from seeing what we call “Nature” as something outside us?
Plant Eden seeks a reformulation and demystification of the concept of Nature, moving away from a romanticized and static concept. The assumption is that Nature is inherently good but defenceless and that people with their technology represents a threat to it, being that one of the reasons for the current environmental crisis. This project focuses on the collaboration between humans and Nature instead of the imposition of one over the other, shifting the power relationship and altering our anthropocentric interpretation of the world.
All images are created using a generative system that simulates natural processes in combination with high-resolution 3D scans of nature, taking inputs from both a physical user and an ever-changing organic algorithm to determine the characteristics of each garden.
Our planet is the most precious natural resource that we humans rely on for our very survival. Climate change is a very real challenge, and with rising sea temperatures, plastic pollution, air pollution, deforestation, and animal species dying out, NOW is our last chance to act to save the planet that we call home before the effects of human activity cannot be reversed.
